Awesome menu. Lots of choices, but not too overwhelming. Went in at the dinner rush and the owner was the only one behind the counter handling front if house very professionally and as attentive as possible all while speaking kindly and thanking his customers. The prices are good and the portions are great. Good local gem for sure. 😉

Never had a bad meal at AJ’s. It’s a great family owned place with personal touch instead of the big chain place, where you never get your order right. Best Gyros around! Also really good prices.

It’s 2020, please upgrade to a phone system that doesn’t go to a voicemail asking customers to continue calling back to place an order until someone finally answers. After the third call with no answer, McDonald’s earns my money every time. Also update your hours online.

What can I say everything on their menue is so tasty , we love the gyros platter. Its loaded with meat and a large order with fries. It is the best value meal for your dollar

Burgers are huge and tasty. They also sell huge burritos. The cost is not pricey at all for the portions you get.

Food is good! Everything seems to be fresh. Plenty of seating. I went around lunch time and the people kept coming in. The prices are very good for what you get. I know the place has been there for over 22 years.

A hidden gem for sure. Nothing to write home about in terms of exterior styling and branding but they make up for it with the food and service.I especially enjoy their gyro plate. The portion size is so huge, you'll want to order extra pitas with your dinner!

Food is good and priced right. However during the Covid-19 pandemic they don't appear to be taking it seriously. It has been IL law requiring face coverings and social distancing yet this is not being enforced here. Cashier not wearing a mask. Cooks are, thankfully, but there are not signs notifying you of the law that is in effect nor are there markings on the floor for social distancing. This is definitely the place for you, though, if you believe the coronavirus is a media hoax. Walk right in without a mask, touch your face, who cares? Not AJs Hot Dogs.

This place should get 5 stars for the wonderful ladies very kind and very fast I was told I had to come here from a friend who said they have the best onion rings around.She was right! A great little stopping off place with cheap food made fast! I would definitely go back again for a quick lunch!

Good taste gyro. not salty fries and fresh taste feta chees for the gyro. First time eating here and was good. Price was a little high because doesn't include drinks on the order but overall it's good

The food here is pretty good for the price, but I noticed a decline in service and order accuracy in the last couple years. My wife ordered a blt and the staff said they dont have that. I asked if they had a turkey club and they did. I asked for her to leave off the turkey and she said "no problem". I picked up the order and was given a burger with bacon. Sorry, not even close. good good but, check your order.

Usually good food and service, but not happy that I called in my order last night and picked up and when I got home did not get the hot dog, so I called and girl who answered phone was not very nice, she said well I know it was in there when in fact it was not and then said well you can come back and get it! (REALLY). So then said would give me a credit for the hot dog and said well everyone makes mistakes. Would of been better customer service to apologize and offer a coupon also for my next visit.

Had the Polish and fried, hot. Tasty, friendly staff....this place was almost to capacity when I was there. Young and old patrons guarantees that the food is good.Convenient location, fast delivery of orders and restaurant style squeeze bottles of ketchup, no need to open 20 packets for your fries.

This site is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. Whenever I want to go to a proper lunchon, this restaurant comes straightaway to my head. Great and diverse food and a large list of dishes.helpful staff, and pleasant atmosphere. In addition to that, the cost is decent. I recommend this place with no doubt.

Good food and reasonably priced. Recommend their shakes. Exactly what you would expect from this kind of fast food place. Will accept orders for pick up over the phone which is nice when in a rush.

Love this place. Owner is very cool, food is priced well and tastes great. For $25 I fed 5 people because the portions are huge. The shakes are fantastic too. Oh and I don't know why the reviews say that he isn't wearing a mask, because every time I have been in there he has had a mask on.

Ordered on phone breaded chicken sandwich and mozzarella sticks. When I picked up bag was behind counter not under heat. When I went back to office (1/8 mile) the cheese sticks were over cooked cheese was hard and the chicken sandwich was a processed chicken patty dry and bun hard. Went directly into garbage. Food there seemed from a frozen section in grocery store and microwaved. Cost almost $9 to throw in garbage. Worst food ever.

This is certainly one of the tastiest place in the region. Every time I come to this place I am profoundly glad. They keep their high level service and the highest level of cooking they serve. You always win with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Have been going here for twenty years ... always awesome food. Love the subs and the gyros... the turkey melt and the burgers & dogs are good. Yummy.

Quick LunchHad a quick lunch with my wife. She got a chili dog her usual. I had 2 hot dogs. 1 left here. But they were good. They have great soup too. Broccoli Cheddar is awesome. A definite need be to stop for a meal sometime. They have a location in Crest Hill that is equally as good!!

AJs is a staple. All the food is good and fast. Fries are huge and they will care about customers. Why pay the same at a fast food restaurant when you can have actual food at AJs.

If you're looking for an amazing gyro, this is the best you'll find. Italian beef, also bomb. Portion sizes are large and food is always hot. So glad I live in town and have this place so close.

Gotta love this local fast food stand. A New Lenox favorite for police and locals.

I was impressed. Not much to look at from the outside but a real charbroiled burger, Onion rings made with real onions, a hand mixed milkshake with real ingredients. Everything I had was delicious. And the prices were cheap too.! I will be going back.
